This superb runs water lake is perfect for anglers that want to catch a variety of fish including mirror, common, hard fighting sturgeons and more recently a 176LB Catfish! With a generous 84 acres in size with 47 swims!

We do our utmost to please all of our anglers, therefore we have a huge stock of fish available to fish for. This includes fish of all sizes and species.

You could catch a small mirror, a large common, a huge catfish or meet one of our hard fighting sturgeon. You really don’t know what is coming next, and that is what we think makes Fishabil so special.

Main Building.

This building is the hub of the fishery and houses amongst other things like the bar. In the fully stocked bar they have seating for 25 people, English TV and music. Although not open 24/7 this enables a break from what can be hectic, but enjoyable fishing. A friendly atmosphere is always available as is a glass or two of your favourite tipple.

The luxury shower is also located in this building alongside the ladies and gents toilets.

A stock of essential tackle items are available from various manufacturers in the recently stocked tackle shop just opposite the bar.

Lake side Apartments.

Refurbished in 2022, these really are perfect for those of you who want to bring along partners, children etc to share in your holiday. All of the apartments have the option of a swim to fish from directly outside, so if bivvying up is not your thing then fish in comfort. Each apartment consists of new twin beds, newly fitted bathrooms, ample storage, a kitchenette with dining table and flat screen TVs with freeview. This really is luxury fishing at its best!

They also have The Flat , new to FISHABIL with 2 bedrooms with double beds and beautiful views of the lake. It can hold 2 couples or a full family.

The lake offers extras such as their fantastic meal package including breakfast and an evening meal at £170 per angler.

This lake also has a Bait Package available on request

BOAT HIRE: £15 per day or £100 per week

Motor and Battery is £5 per day or £30 per week

Rules & Guidelines

These are the main rules, but common sense and courtesy are expected from all of our visiting Anglers.

Boat Rules

• Not to be used in the hours of darkness.
• Life Jackets to be used at all times.
• A deposit of €50 will be charged per boat, this will be refunded once boats have been checked.
• Only one person to be in one boat at any time.
• All boats to be returned to designated points after use.
• No baited rigs are permitted to be dropped from the boats.
• (Breaking of these rules will lead to confiscation of the boat).

Bait Rules

• Only particle prepared at the Fishery, or by a recognised supplier to be used.
• Nuts are permitted for use as hookbaits only.
• No excessive use of salt.
• Only live baits caught, or supplied at the Fishery are permitted.

Accommodation Rules

• No outdoor shoes to be worn around the apartments, please take shoes off.
• No loud music or noise.
• Please keep the apartments tidy and clean.

General Fishery Rules

• No Bait boats.
• No Carp sack.
• Nets/Slings and Mats to be dipped on arrival into the disinfectant located on each bank.
• All fish to be weighed, photographed, and returned immediately.
• All Carp over 30lb must be photographed in the water with the exception of the Dam wall.
• All Anglers must have, and use a recognised carp medi-care kit.
• No braided mainlines (shockleaders are permitted).
• 15lb mainline is recommended with a diameter of 0.30.
• Micro barbed or barbless hooks only.
• No Treble hooks to be used.
• When live baiting for Catfish, no placing them past or next to the islands / snags.
• No fixed lead systems.
• No H blockes to be used as markers.
• 4 Rod maximum.
• No glass beer bottles on the lake, cans only.
• No excessive use of alcohol.
• No drugs.
• No excessive noise (respect other anglers).
• Minimum 42 inch landing nets and large un-hooking mats must be used.
• No Round nets to be used unless match fishing.
• Fishery gates to be kept locked at all times.
• Guests only by prior arrangement.
