PB SMASHED ON SUMBAR SESH!
December 2025
Massive congratulations go out to Angling Paradise customer Scott Harris-Morgan, who enjoyed a session he’ll never forget at Lake Šumbar.
The week didn’t begin easily. After three bite-less days, Scott knew something had to change. A tactical rethink proved to be the turning point — and what followed was nothing short of spectacular.
By switching to 12mm PB pop-ups, fished over a particle mix combined with S7 and Bug boilies, all soaked in S7 and Bug Amino Smoke and dusted with Insect Meal, the rods soon came alive.
The standout capture was a new personal best 57lb common, backed up by an incredible run of fish to 49lb 2oz. A perfect example of how confidence, bait application and persistence can transform a slow start into the session of a lifetime.

Snow, Seventies & Season Highs
November 2025
The final weeks of the season at Lake Šumbar proved why it’s regarded as one of Europe’s premier big-carp venues — even with snow falling on the banks.
Despite extremely tough winter conditions, anglers recorded high numbers of fish, including several 70lb and 60lb carp, along with a solid head of 50s and 40s.
- Biggest fish landed: 74lb 1oz
- Numerous PBs smashed
- Consistent action in freezing weather
A phenomenal end to the season and a huge credit to everyone who braved the cold and reaped the rewards.
Winter Action at Its Best
November 2025
In the month of November, anglers were already seeing incredible results halfway through their weeks on Lake Šumbar. Despite cold, challenging conditions, the lake continued to produce:
- 74lb 1oz
- 68.5lb
- 66.4lb
- 63.15lb
- 63.5lb common
- 60lb
- Plus plenty of high 40s and over 30 carp landed
Proof that when Šumbar turns on, it delivers — whatever the weather.
