Welcome to Lac de Laneuville
Hidden away in the heart of the Champagne region and bordered by a dense, unspoilt forest, Lac de Laneuville is a truly exclusive retreat offering privacy, comfort, and natural beauty in equal measure. Overlooking a stunning spring-fed lake, this unique venue is the perfect destination for couples, families, and friends looking to unwind in peaceful surroundings.
At the centre of the estate sits a superb modern lodge, thoughtfully designed to provide high-quality accommodation with all the comforts of home. The lodge features three spacious bedrooms, two contemporary shower rooms (including one fully refurbished in 2019), a fully equipped kitchen, and a large, comfortable living and dining area complete with English television. Step outside to the sheltered BBQ area and enjoy relaxed outdoor dining while taking in uninterrupted views across the lake.
The private lake is the heart of Lac de Laneuville — scenic, tranquil, and exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. With no public access, guests can enjoy complete seclusion and a rare sense of calm, making it an ideal escape from the pressures of everyday life.
Lac de Laneuville is a family-owned venue, run with care and attention by father-and-son team Peter and Ross Denny. The venue is available on an exclusive-use basis from 2pm Friday to 10am the following Friday and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests. Bookings are available with or without fishing, and the lodge is open throughout the winter months, offering a peaceful retreat all year round.
The Lake
Set within a secluded natural setting, the 5-acre spring-fed lake at Lac de Laneuville offers exceptional privacy, peace, and tranquillity. Surrounded by mature trees and complemented by two stock ponds, the lake provides a beautiful and thoughtfully designed environment ideal for both relaxation and serious angling.
The lake features two islands, attractive overhanging margins, and varied depths ranging from 1 to 4 metres, creating excellent features and opportunities throughout the water. Importantly, the lake is free from nuisance species such as crayfish and poisson chat, allowing anglers to fish confidently without the need to protect or net bait.
There are six well-positioned swims, including one double swim, offering comfort and flexibility. The lake is available on an exclusive-use basis, ensuring a peaceful, uninterrupted experience. Bookings are for a maximum of four anglers and two non-fishing guests per week, with the option to accommodate up to four additional guests at an extra charge, allowing for a total party of up to ten people.
No fishing permits are required, and the lake benefits from legal night fishing, giving anglers complete freedom to fish around the clock.
When booking, guests enjoy exclusive use of both the modern family lodge, anglers cabin and lake.
Fish Stock & Lake Highlights
Lac de Laneuville continues to establish itself as an outstanding big-carp venue, with an exciting and carefully managed stock that keeps improving year after year.
We are proud to confirm Common carp to 59lb 12oz and Mirror carp to 43lb 12oz, with multiple fish well over the 40lb mark and plenty of potential for future record breakers.
Stocking & Fish Development
To further enhance the quality of the lake, we completed a major restocking on 18th December 2024, introducing 105 stunning carp ranging from 10lb to 40lb. These fish were carefully selected for their beautiful colours, scale patterns, and long-term growth potential. They are being fed consistently to help maximise weight gain and overall condition.
In addition, 45 carp were stocked from our own stock pond in late October, further strengthening the lake’s already impressive population.
Proven Results

These fish were part of the original stock, demonstrating the lake’s long-established ability to grow exceptional carp.

The Family Lodge
The facilities at Lac de Laneuville are second to none, centred around a superb modern lodge set right beside the lake. Designed for relaxation and comfort, the lodge offers high-quality accommodation in a truly stunning waterside location, allowing you to unwind while surrounded by nature and abundant wildlife.
The lodge features three comfortable bedrooms — one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, each with two single beds — making it ideal for couples, families, and small groups. Inside, you’ll also find a contemporary shower room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious, comfortable living and dining area complete with English television channels. For added enjoyment, guests can also make use of the Babyfoot table, perfect for relaxed evenings indoors.
Step outside to the sheltered BBQ area, ideal for outdoor dining and socialising while taking in uninterrupted views of the beautiful lake.

During the month of August only, guests can enjoy the use of the lake owners swimming pool, perfect for families.
Bait
To protect the quality of the lake and the health of the fish, Lac de Laneuville operates a controlled bait policy. A full bait service is available on site, and all particles must be purchased at the venue. Hemp and maize are readily available.
Freezer boilies only are permitted — shelf-life boilies are strictly not allowed on site.
Our lake boilies are available in two proven flavours: fishmeal and nut-based, both of which are fed to the fish all year round to ensure consistency and excellent results.
This carefully managed approach helps maintain a healthy stock, outstanding fishing conditions, and a premium angling experience for every guest.
