Lake 1 – 14.5 Acres of Prime Carp Fishing

Lake 1 is our flagship venue and has been the primary focus of our development efforts. It spans approximately 14.5 acres and is ideal for a maximum of 8 anglers per week on an exclusive booking basis.

• 10 swims (well-spaced and gravelled)
• Stocked with 300+ carp, including fish up to 74lbs
• Lake record: 74lbs
• Mix of mirror and common carp, with a growing number of unknown originals
• Depths of 6ft–12ft with varied lakebed features

Please Note: All anglers must bring a minimum 42″ landing net (ideally two). Nets will be inspected on arrival.

Lake 2 – 10.5 Acres of Untapped Potential

Lake 2 offers a more intimate fishing experience while maintaining the same high standard. Covering approximately 10.5 acres, this lake is perfect for up to 6 anglers per week, also on a lake-exclusive basis.

• 7 swims, including 2 double swims
• Stocked with 250+ carp, with fish reaching up to 71lbs
• Lake record: 71lbs
• Spring-fed with the same depth range and lakebed variety as Lake 1
• Never fished before 2016, so there’s still a sense of mystery and potential

Bay Lakes does offer its own in house bait which can be ordered prior to your arrival and must be paid to the fishery owner on arrival.

Lake Rules

Bay Lakes wants you to enjoy your stay and ensure our fish are protected at the same time. Please take time to read these rules:

• Anglers will only be allowed on the lake after 1pm on day of arrival – the draw for the swims will be taken at 2pm at the latest, anyone arriving after this time will have to choose from the remaining two swims. Anglers must be off the lake by 10am on day of departure.
• All vehicles must be parked in the car park, vehicles will be allowed around the lake on the Saturday briefly to load and unload tackle in the swims, once unloaded/loaded return vehicle to the car park and then set up. Please keep vehicles off the grass and use the gravel turning points.
• Bay Lakes has a shower block and toilets, please insure the facilities are kept clean. Report any faults or damages to the bailiff immediately.
• Mirco barbed hooks only.
• Unhooking mats & weigh slings are provided (maybe a small deposit needed), please provide your own landing net (42 inch minimum). No fish sacking or retaining.
• There is bait bans, No nuts. Particles can only be ordered ahead of your arrival to collect from the on site bailiff.
• Bait Boats are welcome.
• A maximum of 3 rods per angler, which must not be left unattended.
• Minimum 15lbs breaking strain mainline.
• Safe rigs only.
• No braided mainline, no braided leaders or lead core or no leaders of any type.
• Tubing only.
• Fishing is permitted from marked swims only, bivvies must be erected on gravel areas only.
• No bivvies between swims are allowed.
• Weekly maintenance of grass, trees and swims will be carried out to ensure good upkeep of lake.
• No fires.
• No swimming.
• You are responsible for your Own Safety Around the lake and complex.
• Rubbish – All your rubbish must be taken with you when you leave the lake. To ensure this happens we will take a 20 Euro deposit which will be returned to you when you leave, assuming there is no rubbish or human waste left in or near your swim.
• Drunkenness, anti-social, threatening behaviour etc will not be tolerated. Offenders will be asked to cease fishing and leave the lake.
