Hill House Lake offers a well-maintained and feature-rich fishing experience across its 6-acre expanse. The lake is home to two islands and a variety of natural gullies, providing interesting and varied fishing spots for all skill levels.

Lake Fishing Rules and Guidelines

Anglers are allowed on the lake from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival. All anglers must be off the lake by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

Parking and Equipment
Vehicles can be parked outside the main lake house.
Only micro-barbed hooks are permitted.
Unhooking mats, weigh slings, and landing nets are provided (a small deposit is required).
No fish sacking or retaining is allowed.

Bait Rules
There are strict bait bans in place:

No nuts allowed.

Particles can only be ordered in advance and will be delivered to the lake house upon your arrival by the on-site bailiff.

Bait boats are welcome.

Tackle and Rigs

A maximum of three rods per angler is allowed. Rods must not be left unattended.

Mainline must have a minimum 15 lbs breaking strain.

Safe rigs only.

A Carp Care Kit is required.

No plastic fake corn.

No braided mainline, no braided leaders, lead core, or leaders of any type are allowed.

Only tubing is permitted, with a minimum of 600mm.

Swim Rules
Fishing is permitted from marked swims only. Bivvies must be erected on the gravel areas.
No bivvies are allowed between swims.

Maintenance and Safety
Weekly maintenance of grass, trees, and swims will be carried out to ensure the lake remains in good condition.
No fires are allowed around the lake.
No swimming is permitted.
You are responsible for your own safety around the lake and within the complex.

Rubbish Policy
All rubbish must be taken to the recycling areas located by the main lake house.
To ensure compliance, a €20 deposit will be collected and returned upon departure, provided no rubbish or human waste is left in or around your swim.

Behaviour
Drunkenness, anti-social, or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. Offenders will be asked to stop fishing and leave the lake.
