The Fish Oakview Lake is packed with large carp and apart from pike and a few small grass carp, there are no other species and no nuisance fish.
The lake has a very good head of carp weighing over 40lb and a number of 50lb catches have been recorded. The average size of the fish is well over 30lb and there are very few carp under 20lb.
Detailed weekly catch reports go back to 2009. The chances of landing a 50lb carp are best in April, before the fish spawn.
